Some time ago, my best friend was coaching a team of young girls for an important competition. She wanted to boost their confidence with a good luck charm. The charm was simple—a blue bead on a fishing line, tied around their necks. The charm needed to be discreet, worn under their uniforms. The project was easy. What presented a challenge for me was how to present the necklaces in a way that was interesting.

I thought of presenting the necklaces with chocolates as a creative way to make the gift more exciting. Chocolates complement the gift and provide a solid item to wrap the fishing line around. Luckily, I found chocolates wrapped in paper that matched the bead color. Even better, it was dark chocolate—perfect for athletes!

Everyone loved the gifts, and the girls did great in the competition. It seemed the good luck charm worked. This inspired me to share the idea on the blog. Someone might find this idea for how to present necklaces using chocolates interesting too—and some good luck might rub off on the blog too!

So, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to present necklaces using chocolates, complete with a tutorial and images.

Level: Easy

Materials:

  • Chocolates
  • Double-sided adhesive tape
  • Notepad labels and a pen
  • The bracelet or necklace you want to give

How to Present Necklaces Using Chocolates – Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Use double-sided tape to stick two chocolates together. This adds extra wrapping space and extra delight.

Step 2: Cut notepad labels to fit the top of the chocolates. Write your wishes on the labels before sticking them on the chocolates. This allows for even handwriting. Avoid writing in the center where the bead will go.

Notepad labels with wishes.

Step 3: Open the clasp and place the bead in the center top of the chocolates. Wrap the fishing line around the center of the chocolate, keeping the beads on top and the clasp at the bottom, if possible. Close the clasp. Use the extra length provided by the chain to close as tight to the chocolates as possible.

Learn from My Mistakes:

When placing the necklaces around the chocolates, I spent too much time trying to hide the clasp at the bottom. In the chocolates with Greek wishes, the clasp is hidden, but in those with English wishes, it’s visible.

The difference was the necklace sizes—one batch was for the athletes, the other for the coaches. The varying lengths affected the wrapping.

If the clasp remains visible after a few tries, it might simply be due to the necklace length. Don’t worry—the gift and thought are still just as sweet!

Conclusion

I sincerely wish the best of luck to my friend’s team in all their future efforts. The same goes for the blog and for you, reading this now.
